Adjustment ranges from 380 to 910 mm. The seat sits about 280 to 300 mm below the work surface. At high workbenches the chair needs a foot ring or step.

In an EPA the chair is part of the grounding path. Charges flow from the person through cover, mechanism, gas lift and base to conductive castors or glides and on through the dissipative floor. DIN EN 61340-5-1 requires a resistance from seat surface to ground point below 1 x 10¹⁰ ohms for seating.

Floor is a prerequisite - without a dissipative floor or floor mat even an ESD chair remains insulated.

Test regularly - dirt and worn castors increase resistance, test as part of the ESD control plan.
