The electric screwdrivers from Sehan Electools are designed for ESD-safe series assembly in electronics and precision assembly. Every series works with a shut-off clutch and an infinitely adjustable torque setting, the bit is grounded and the complete design is ESD-safe. The range starts at 0.02 Nm with the EF and F mini models and reaches 10.0 Nm with the YF and HF series. Alongside the brushed series there are brushless series that are approved for cleanroom class 5 and specified with a repeat accuracy of plus minus 3 percent. For automated screwdriving stations Sehan offers the FA, NFA and YFA robot screwdrivers with an external start and stop input. Each screwdriver runs on the control unit that belongs to its series, and accessories such as the SCOUT II screw counter, pistol grips, vacuum attachments and connecting cables complete the programme.

The starting point is the torque that the joint requires. The ranges of the series overlap, so the working point should sit in the middle of the adjustment range. Very small screws in precision assembly are covered by the mini series EF030-E to EF055-E and F035-E to F045-E, which take a bit with a 4.00 mm half-round shank. All other series use the common 6.35 mm bit. The brushed series EF and K are the simpler choice for general series assembly. The brushless series LF, F, NF, FT, NFT, YF and HF are approved for cleanroom class 5, show less wear and are specified with a repeat accuracy of plus minus 3 percent. The speed characteristic also matters: LF and F run at a fixed speed, while the other series are adjustable within the stated range. Where the driving and loosening sequence has to be monitored, the FT, NFT and YF series offer integrated sequence control with angle-controlled driving and loosening. For automats and robot cells the FA, NFA and YFA versions with an external start and stop input are available. The control unit belongs to the series: KT-38D for EF and K, FT-40D for LF, F, NF, FT and NFT, YFC-35D for YF and HTC-35 for HF. All control units run on 230 VAC and offer soft start and speed preselection. The programme also includes the SCOUT II screw counter for KT-38D and FT-40D, protective caps for the torque adjustment ring, pistol grips, vacuum attachments as well as straight and coiled connecting cables.
Typical applications: electronics and precision assembly, series assembly, equipment manufacturing, medical technology, cleanroom production and automated screwdriving stations. Precision assembly mainly uses the EF and F mini series, general series assembly the EF, K and NF series. Cleanroom production is reserved for the brushless series that are approved for cleanroom class 5. Automated screwdriving stations are built with the FA, NFA and YFA robot screwdrivers, whose external start and stop input allows them to be integrated into the machine control system.
