Hans Kolb 12000070. ESD nap foam pink for 50-TVS, 50-NS as
€0.81
Moving populated assemblies between two production steps calls for an insert that cushions and dissipates at the same time. This XLPE foam ELXAC50 sheet offers 10 mm of material across 353 x 253 mm and works conductively at 10E3 to 10E6 ohm, so no charge is left standing on the packaging. The firm grade keeps its shape while doing so.
Benefits
- Conductive at 10E3 to 10E6 ohm, charges are drained instead of stored in the material.
- Firm grade, the sheet holds its shape even with assemblies resting on it.
- 353 x 253 mm cut size for use as a bottom, interlayer or top pad in ESD containers and cartons.
- 10 mm of material thickness, matched to the height the container allows.
- Black throughout, so it is told apart from ordinary packaging foam on the shelf.

Application
Inside the ESD protected area the sheet serves as an insert in cartons, stacking containers and workpiece carriers. Typical contents are populated boards, connectors and small parts that must neither shift between two operations nor touch a charged surface. The foam can be trimmed with a knife to the inner dimensions of the container.
The series covers further thicknesses (6 mm and 15 mm). This article is the 10 mm version.
