Light management and control
Light management covers the control equipment from Glamox used to switch, dim and automatically regulate luminaires: DALI and DALI-2 sensors, presence and daylight sensors, control panels and rotary dials, wireless remotes, Bluetooth interfaces, repeaters, sequencers, access points and bus power supplies. The LMS system forms the core, alongside the MCU, V-TOUCH and REMOTE series. Protection ratings run from IP20 to IP66, supply voltages are 12 V, 24 V and 230 V, and ratings span 1 W to 300 W. The choice follows the bus system, the sensor function, the installation place and the IP rating rather than the shape of the housing.
Each shortcut filters within this category. Settle the bus system of your installation first, then the function and the installation place.

How to choose Light management and control
What matters when choosing: properties, comparison and typical applications.
Selection criteria
| Criterion | What matters | Available here |
|---|---|---|
| Bus system | The protocol comes first. DALI addresses every luminaire on its own and allows groups and scenes without new wiring, while DALI-2 adds certified sensors and control devices with defined behaviour. Only devices of the same system work together. | LMS system, MCU series, DALI-2 series, DALI dimmable devices |
| Sensor function | Presence detectors switch on movement, daylight sensors regulate to the measured illuminance, combined heads do both. A corridor is served by presence alone, while daylight control saves the larger share at a window workplace. | Presence and daylight sensors, DALI PIR sensors, external heads such as LMS EXT CHW-SEN M20 |
| Operation | Automation still needs a manual override. Control panels, rotary dials, timer modules, wireless remotes and Bluetooth interfaces for operation from a mobile device are available. | Control panels, rotary dials such as LMS DALI CCT ROTARY, timer modules, V-TOUCH series, REMOTE series |
| Installation place and IP rating | Where the device sits sets the rating. A dry interior is served by IP20, workshops and stores usually call for IP54, and halls, outdoor areas and wet rooms need IP65 or IP66. | IP rating: IP20, IP66, IP54, IP65, IP56, IP40 |
| Supply and wattage | The DALI bus is fed separately from the luminaire wiring. Sensors and control devices draw little power, bus power supplies considerably more, and the feed cable is sized accordingly. | Rated power 1 W to 300 W, supply voltage 230 V, 24 V, 12 V |
| Light colour | If the light colour is to follow the day, the luminaire, the control gear and the control device all have to handle tunable white. A plain dimmer changes brightness alone and leaves the colour temperature untouched. | Tunable white as a light colour and as a control type |
| Size of the installation | Bus length and the number of nodes are limited. Repeaters extend the run, sequencers and control units group luminaires, and access points connect the installation to network and app. | Repeaters such as LMS DALI REPEATER RAIL, sequencers, Bluetooth interfaces, access points, MCU series |
