Fume Extractions
Gas and vapour extraction
- Selection criteria
- Solder fume extractors
- Laser fume and fine dust extraction
- Filters and replacement filters
This category covers extraction units for gases, vapours, odours and adhesive fumes, where the task is capturing gaseous substances rather than particles. Most units are activated carbon systems from ULT, complemented by models from Weller and Donaldson Bofa. The range runs from a mobile filter trolley with 80 m³/h and units holding 6 kg of activated carbon up to systems delivering 1,000 m³/h at 1,700 Pa, some in ATEX design or with VOC monitoring.
Narrow this category down by manufacturer or degree of protection.

How to choose Gas and vapour extraction
What matters when choosing: properties, comparison and typical applications.
Selection criteria
| Criterion | What to check | Example from the range |
|---|---|---|
| Airflow | Size the unit by the number of capture points and the size of the source. | Restauro filter trolley with 80 m³/h, ACD 1200 MD.18 with 1,000 m³/h |
| Negative pressure | Long ducts and several arms need pressure reserve. | ULT ACD 1200 MD.18 AC: 1,000 m³/h at 1,700 Pa |
| Activated carbon volume | More carbon means longer service life at the same gas load. | ACD 200.1 MD.20 A6 and ACD JUMBO 2.0 with 6 kg activated carbon |
| Workstations | One central unit for several stations or one unit per station. | Weller Zero Smog 4V for 4 workstations, Weller T0053667699N for up to 8 workstations |
| Explosion protection | For flammable gases and vapours, check for an ATEX design. | ULT ACD 1200.0-MD.46 in ATEX design |
| Monitoring | Sensors indicate when the activated carbon is exhausted. | Donaldson Bofa AD Access with VOC monitoring and filter change indicator |
| Mains voltage | Match the voltage to your site before ordering. | Weller T0053667699N with 120 V, Donaldson Bofa AD Access with 230 V |
