Workplace lighting

Workplace lighting accessories

This category brings together the add-on and spare parts for workplace, machine and system luminaires: drivers and mains leads, sensor and link cables with M8 and M12 connectors, luminaire brackets, T-slot, magnetic and clamp mounts, wire suspensions, dimming boxes and replacement lenses. The ranges of Glamox, LED2WORK, Starlight, Waldmann and Eschenbach are listed, rated for 24 V extra-low voltage as well as 220-240 V, 250 V and 305 V, with driver ratings from 6.5 W to 480 W and protection from IP20 to IP69K. What decides the choice is the connection type and pin count, the supply voltage, the wattage, the IP rating and the profile, not the name of the luminaire.

How to choose Workplace lighting accessories

What matters when choosing: properties, comparison and typical applications.

Selection criteria

CriterionWhat mattersAvailable here
Connection typeCheck first which plug system the luminaire uses: SYSTEMLED GST18i3, an angled earthed plug or open ends. Only a matching counterpart plugs in without an adapter, anything else needs an extension or a coupler.Mains, link and extension leads in 1 m, 2 m and 5 m, wire suspensions up to 300 cm
Pin count and keyingWith M8 and M12 connectors the housing style, pin count and keying of cable and socket have to match. Otherwise cores for dimming or sensor signals are missing, or the parts do not plug together.Sensor and link cables for machine and system luminaires
Supply voltagePick driver and lead to match the supply of the luminaire. Extra-low voltage and mains voltage are not interchangeable, and a 24 V cable never belongs on a mains run.24 V, 220-240 V, 250 V and 305 V
Driver wattageAdd up the load of every luminaire on one driver and choose a unit rated at least for that total. Some headroom saves a swap when the line is extended later.6.5 W to 480 W, with 60 W and 96 W as the common sizes
IP ratingThe rating of the accessory should not fall below that of the luminaire. An IP20 connector on an IP69K luminaire sets the weak point, because the weakest part rates the whole connection.IP20, IP54, IP65, IP67, IP68, IP69 and IP69K
Profile and mountingSlot width and thread of the holder have to suit the profile. Magnetic holders and table clamps are the option where drilling is not allowed, wire suspensions with M6 the answer for pendant mounting.Surface, recessed, articulated arm, pendant, table clamp, T-slot and profile, wall, magnet, mast and bracket, floor base
Luminaire seriesBrackets, lenses and spare parts are matched to one series. The series name is printed on the rating plate and leads to the right part faster than the item description.C80, C80-P, C80-S/P, C80-RR, I65-2/4, I65-6, i80, i81, i85, Motus, MADOX, REDOX, ANDOX, Base, HI-MAX, MIKO, COLENA, Sp
Optics and light outputReplacement lenses change the light distribution: a narrow beam puts a spot on the workpiece, a wide beam covers the area evenly. Replacement modules should match the rest of the installation in output and light colour.Beam angles 10° to 180°, mostly 30° and 40°, output 1125 lm to 6900 lm, 5000 K, 5700 K, tunable white, Ra 85
ESD suitabilityInside an EPA the brackets, leads and housing parts have to be dissipative as well. The ESD facet marks those versions, so the accessory does not undo the protection concept of the luminaire.TEC versions and ESD (antistatic)
