For table height about 420 to 550 mm is enough, high workbenches need 600 mm or more with a foot ring. Range 350 to 900 mm.

In an EPA the seat is part of the grounding path: charges flow from the person through the cover, gas spring and base to conductive castors or glides and into the floor. Testing follows DIN EN 61340-5-1, the resistance from seat surface to ground point must be below 1 x 1010 ohms.
Industrial chairs are designed for production and workshops (157 models) and, thanks to washable surfaces, are also used in laboratories (64). 41 models are intended for the EPA, 21 for high loads. Typical places are machine operation, assembly with oil and coolant, welding stations, warehouses and training workshops.
- How does an industrial chair differ from an upholstered chair?
- Seat and backrest are made of PU foam, integral foam, plastic or wood instead of fabric upholstery. They do not absorb oil or chips and can be washed.
- PU foam or wood?
- PU foam (144 models) is soft and resistant to oil and coolant. Wood (56 models) is heat-resistant, for example for welding stations.
- How much load can industrial chairs take?
- Depending on the model up to 170 kg. For higher requirements there are dedicated heavy-duty chairs.
- How much do industrial chairs cost?
- Net from EUR 73 for meychair Assistent up to EUR 558 for Bimos Sintec. 41 of the 238 models are ESD versions.
