Glamox indoor luminaires for offices, corridors, stairwells, schools and healthcare buildings. Mounting type is the first decision: recessed luminaires for suspended ceilings, surface-mounted luminaires for solid ceilings, suspended luminaires above desks and wall luminaires for corridors and stairwells. Luminous flux runs from 1000 to 12 000 lm at 11 to 46 W, and colour temperature covers 3000 K, 4000 K and Tunable White. Control is by DALI or as a switchable HF version with presence and daylight detection.

- Which mounting type suits a suspended grid ceiling?
- A suspended grid or plasterboard ceiling calls for a recessed luminaire that sits flush in the prepared cut-out. The grid dimensions are part of the series name, as in C95-R625x625, C77-R600x600 and C64-R625X625. For a solid ceiling, or where the ceiling stays closed, choose a surface-mounted luminaire.
- What is the difference between DALI and the switchable version?
- DALI dimmable means the luminaire is addressed over a digital bus and controlled in groups or scenes. The switchable version with HF sensor works without a bus and reacts to presence and daylight. There is also a plain dimmable version without any bus connection.
- When does Tunable White pay off?
- Tunable White shifts the colour temperature during operation and is mainly used in schools, care areas and meeting rooms. It is listed both as a colour temperature and as a control type, so both filters can be combined.
- Which colour temperature is usual for offices and schools?
- 4000 K is neutral white and the customary colour temperature in offices, schools and healthcare buildings. 3000 K appears warmer and suits foyers, break areas and corridors. Where both are needed, Tunable White is the option.
- Which IP rating do I need in a stairwell or a tea kitchen?
- Dry interiors are covered by IP20 and IP40. Where moisture or cleaning water occurs, for instance in tea kitchens and sanitary rooms, choose IP43, IP44, IP54, IP55 or IP65. The range in this category runs from IP20 to IP65.
