Cable locator to 4.6 m depth with AIM interference measurement and Bluetooth - Leica Ultra Advanced

Before any ground is broken, the position of cables and pipes has to be known. The Leica Ultra Advanced locates cables down to 4.6 m and sondes down to 3.0 m, and reports depth in active mode within a tolerance of ± 5 percent. AIM measures ambient interference across every enabled frequency first, so the operator sees which frequency is the quietest on that site.

Applications

Route survey ahead of excavation, cable laying and service connections, checking power cables, gas and water mains and telecom routes. With a sonde, non-metallic pipes and ducts are traced to 3.0 m, with the receiver clamp the right line is identified among several in a chamber, and the EML accessory finds electronic markers.

Compatibility

The locator works with the Leica Ultra 5 W and 12 W signal generators and with the Ultra 12 W Advanced. Cable fault finding requires transmitter firmware v2.0 or higher and locator firmware v6.0 or higher, the EML accessory needs locator software v7.0 or higher. Signal clamps are available in 80, 125 and 175 mm, alongside the receiver clamp, the standard sonde and the maxi sonde at 8 kHz or 33 kHz.
