For service connections, distribution networks and medium length sites, this set covers the whole locating chain. The Leica Ultra Standard locator finds cables to 4.6 m and sondes to 3.0 m, while the Ultra 5 W signal generator applies its signal through direct connection, broadcast induction or the supplied 125 mm multi signal clamp.

Applications

Route survey ahead of excavator work, service connections, distribution networks, checking power, gas, water and telecom lines. With a sonde, non-metallic pipes and ducts are traced to 3.0 m, and the signal clamp energises the right line in chambers and cabinets without exposing it.

Compatibility

The system takes signal clamps in 80, 125 and 175 mm, the receiver clamp, the stethoscope covering 50 Hz to 200 kHz and the standard and maxi sondes at 8 kHz or 33 kHz. Where transmit power is not enough for very long routes or large steel pipes, the 12 W Ultra systems cover that range. The EML accessory needs locator software v7.0 or higher.
