Signal transmitter 5 W with more than 100 frequencies and 100 h runtime - Leica Ultra 5 W Standard

On service connections, distribution networks and medium length sites, 5 W of transmit power is enough as long as the coupling is right. The Leica Ultra 5 W applies its signal to cables and metallic pipes through direct connection, a signal clamp or broadcast induction, with more than 100 transmitter frequencies to choose from. The mA, W, Ohm and V readouts show how much signal actually reaches the line.

Applications

Active route locating on service connections, in distribution networks and on construction sites, tracing power, gas, water and telecom lines, line identification through a signal clamp in chambers and cabinets. With the live power adapter the signal is applied to a live line, and a frequency above 8 kHz has to be selected, preferably 29 kHz.

Compatibility

The transmitter works with the Leica Ultra Standard and the Ultra Advanced locator. Signal clamps come in 80, 125 and 175 mm, the 125 mm clamp covers 3 kHz to 200 kHz and the 80 mm clamp 256 Hz to 83 kHz. Where the power is not enough for very long routes or large steel pipes, the Ultra 12 W models cover that range.
