Automatic precision level 32x, 0.7 mm per double run kilometre - Leica NA2

Settlement monitoring, machine foundations and precise levelling need an instrument that stays repeatable across a full day of measurement. The Leica NA2 delivers up to 0.7 mm standard deviation per kilometre of double run levelling, or 0.3 mm with a parallel plate micrometer fitted, at 32 x magnification and a 45 mm objective aperture.

Benefits

• Up to 0.7 mm standard deviation per kilometre of double run levelling, depending on staff and procedure. With the GPM3 parallel plate micrometer the figure drops to 0.3 mm, so one instrument covers both setting out and precise levelling.
• 32 x magnification with a 45 mm clear objective aperture gives a bright, erect image even in poor light. The eyepiece swaps in seconds, FOK73 at 40 x for the finest levelling, FOK117 at 25 x when heat shimmer sets in.
• Compensator with a plus/minus 30 arcminute working range and 0.3 arcsecond setting accuracy. The pendulum hangs on four special alloy tapes, is pneumatically damped and screened against magnetic fields.
• A push button under the eyepiece checks the compensator. The staff image swings out visibly and floats back. The check takes under a second and also shows whether the circular level is still centred.
• Shortest focusing distance of 1.6 m and a multiplication factor of 100, which allows tight set-ups and optical distance readings from the stadia hairs.
• Reticle with a wedge hair for invar staffs alongside horizontal and stadia hairs, the prerequisite for precise levelling. The endless horizontal drive with knobs on both sides works from any standing position.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The NA2 works with the GPM3 parallel plate micrometer (reading 0.1 mm, estimation 0.01 mm) and the GPM6 (reading 0.2 mm, estimation 0.05 mm), and with the FOK73 and FOK117 interchangeable eyepieces. Invar staffs read against the wedge hair suit precise work, ordinary levelling staffs cover general tasks. The instrument ships in a foam padded transport case made of high performance synthetic material.
