Autocollimation eyepiece for telescopes with bayonet coupling - Leica GOA2

Aligning a mirror or a plane surface exactly perpendicular to the line of sight is beyond what ordinary sighting can deliver. The Leica GOA2 turns the telescope into an autocollimator, the illuminated reticle is projected through the objective, reflected off the mirror and imaged again in the same eyepiece. Only when image and reticle coincide does the mirror stand square to the line of sight, and even small tilt angles become visible.

Benefits

• Much finer determination of small mirror tilt angles than ordinary sighting allows, because the reflection angle enters the offset twice.
• Bayonet fitting instead of a conversion, the eyepiece goes on in place of the standard one and comes off again just as quickly after the measurement.
• Wide instrument base, the Leica price book lists it for all TPS instruments with a bayonet coupling except the T100 and the TS02. Dealers additionally list the GOA2 as an accessory for the NA2 and NAK2 levels.
• Dedicated illumination from the GEB62 plug-in lamp, which keeps autocollimation readable in dark halls and measuring basements.
• Mains independent operation from the GEB63 battery box, so the method also works away from a power outlet.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The GOA2 requires a bayonet coupling on the telescope. Without the Leica GEB62 plug-in lamp (material number 394787) and its Leica GEB63 battery box (material number 394792) autocollimation is not possible, and both parts are ordered separately. The eyepiece itself is supplied, lamp, cable and battery box are not included.
