ESD jackets form the outer protective layer of personnel grounding in EPA zones, preventing triboelectrically charged undergarments from generating voltage spikes on the surface. The range includes men's and women's styles in long- and short-sleeve cuts, available in white and cornflower blue from size XS to 6XL. DESCO models such as the Statshield Smock with knitted cuffs supplement the programme for international requirements.
The surface resistance of the jackets falls in the dissipative range (typically 10⁶-10¹² Ω), so the outer surface does not form an insulating barrier. The ESD properties and construction remain stable after repeated industrial laundering.
The key selection criteria are cut (men's/women's, long/short sleeve), colour per workwear policy (white for cleanroom, cornflower blue for general production), and size. DESCO models with knitted cuffs suit workstations where close wrist contact is particularly important. Jacket pockets are positioned so they do not impede workflow at the assembly line.
Typical applications: SMT production and PCB assembly in EPA zones; cleanroom and test laboratories with dress-code requirements; repair and rework stations; goods-inward inspection and quality assurance for ESD-sensitive components; visitor and training garments in ESD-certified production areas.
