Anyone kitting out final optical inspection, a measuring bench or the ante-room of a clean area works against two requirements at the same time. The garment has to dissipate charge in a controlled way, and it must not shed fibres into the process. This jacket answers both through the fabric itself, not through a finish that washes out.
At 155 g/m² and a blend of 48 % cotton, 48 % polyester and 4 % conductive yarn the jacket stays comfortable across a full shift. Cotton takes up moisture, polyester keeps the shape and the drying time in check, and the woven-in conductive yarn carries the charge away.
White does a second job here. Solder balls, swarf and flux spatter stand out on a light fabric, and a particle spotted during inspection does not travel on to the next assembly.
Your benefits
- Conductive yarn woven in: The 4 % conductive yarn sits inside the fabric and keeps working after repeated washing and wear. There is no coating to wash off, so the dissipative behaviour stays predictable.
- A figure, not a claim: STFI measured a surface resistance of 10⁵ to 10⁷ ohm at 23 (+/-1) °C and 25 (+/-5) % relative humidity, which is the dry climate that matters in practice.
- Low lint from compact yarn: Compact spinning binds in the loose fibre ends. At inspection benches and under a magnifier lamp that means far fewer stray fibres ending up on the component.
- Concealed snap placket: The snaps sit under the fabric. Leaning over the bench, no metal drags across a housing, a display or a populated board.
- Adjustable sleeve width: The long sleeves can be taken in with snap buttons. At the soldering iron or reaching into a component bin, the cuff stays out of the way.
- Twelve sizes from stock: 3XS to 6XL covers a whole team, and smaller quantities ship directly from our own warehouse. The size chart is attached as a PDF in the Downloads tab.
Material and fabric
The fabric is 48 % cotton, 48 % polyester and 4 % conductive yarn. At 155 g/m² the jacket is light enough to wear over a shirt for eight hours and dense enough that pocket edges and cuffs do not lose their shape. Weaving and making up both run under one roof, from the cutting table to the packing bench, under a single quality check.
- 48 % cotton for moisture uptake and handle
- 48 % polyester for dimensional stability
- 4 % conductive yarn, evenly woven in
- 155 g/m² fabric weight
Workmanship in detail
Notched lapel collar, a patch chest pocket on the left and two side pockets with slanted openings that stay reachable when seated. The sweat guard at the neck protects the area that wears first on daily workwear. Two side bust darts shape the women's cut, and the ESD logo sits on the right side pocket.
Lasting dissipation and wash resistance
The dissipative property is in the yarn. It keeps its conductivity after repeated washing and wear, because high-grade silver yarn is processed into the weave in a dedicated spinning method rather than applied as a coating. For purchasing that means a service life you can plan with, instead of a fixed cycle count after which the garment is written off.
Fit and size range
Twelve sizes from 3XS to 6XL cover a team without a special order. The larger sizes come from the same cut and the same dye lot as the smaller ones. The measurement chart is available as a PDF in the Downloads tab of this page, so chest width and back length can be checked before a framework order.

- Measuring and test benches in electronics manufacturing
- Ante-rooms to clean areas and zones with cleanliness rules
- Goods receiving and storage of semiconductors and assemblies
- Training and visitor areas inside an EPA
Care and service life
The jacket is made for industrial laundering and holds its shape, its seams and its conductivity over many wash cycles. No general wash temperature is specified, so the care label sewn into the garment is the binding reference.
Finishing and custom versions
Embroidery and print up to 160 °C are available, finishing takes place in Germany and a sample print is recommended first. On request we add sleeves with conductive rib cuffs, extra snap fasteners or pockets and a contrast version, along with colours outside the catalogue range. Ask us for a quotation.
Standards and testing
Dissipation and surface resistance were tested successfully to DIN EN 61340-5-1:2016 by the test institute STFI. The measured range is 10⁵ to 10⁷ ohm at 23 (+/-1) °C and 25 (+/-5) % relative humidity. No certification to further ESD standards exists.
