Transferring heights, aligning formwork, checking excavation: the Leica Rugby 610 handles all of it from a single button. It self-levels within ± 5 degrees and holds the plane to ± 2.2 mm at 30 m, while the Rod Eye 120 receiver picks the beam up across a diameter of 800 m. Running on a rechargeable pack removes the constant reordering of batteries.

The Rugby 610 can be combined with any Leica Rod Eye receiver, and the Rod Eye 140 or Rod Eye 160 extend the reach further. Besides the A600 lithium-ion pack the laser also takes the A150 holder for alkaline cells, which is worth carrying as a site reserve. The receiver bracket for staff and grade rod is part of the kit, and the manufacturer lists the user manual as supplied.
