Conductive Closed-Cell Pin-Insertion Foam, Cross-Linked PE, 250 x 250 x 6 mm - Desco 241570

For long-term storage of sensitive components, ESD protection is only half the story: the foam must not crumble and must stay chemically stable. This black cross-linked polyethylene foam with fine closed cells is firm enough to hold pins securely, sheds no particles and brings inserted leads to the same potential with a surface resistance of 1 x 10³ to 1 x 10⁴ ohms. The piece measures 250 x 250 mm and is 6 mm thick.

Surface resistance per DIN 53482, volume resistance per ASTM D991-89, static decay per EIA 541 appendix F. Under EN 61340-5-2, untreated foams are not permitted as packaging in the EPA, and this foam is permanently conductive.
