Motors and controllers
Festo EMMS-ST stepper motors cover flange sizes 28, 42, 57 and 87 mm (NEMA11, NEMA17, NEMA23, NEMA34) and are matched for use with Festo motor controllers. Configuration options include versions without encoder (-S), with incremental encoder (-SE) and with holding brake (-SB, -SEB). The G2 designation identifies the second generation of the series in the larger flange sizes 42, 57 and 87 mm.

Typical applications: Simple positioning tasks with fixed motion profiles (open-loop), dosing systems and valve actuation with defined step counts, compact linear systems and swivel units where position feedback is not required, and cost-optimised multi-axis applications with Festo motor controllers.
