Festo EMMS-AS servo motors are permanently magnetised synchronous motors for precision positioning tasks in combination with Festo motor controllers. Flange sizes range from 55 mm to 190 mm (motor housing OD), with short (S), medium (M) and long (L) body versions and cable-exit variants (MK, LK, SK). Options include holding brake (-B) and multiturn resolver feedback (-RS/-RM/-AM/-AR/-AS) for absolute or incremental position return.
Flange sizes 55, 100, 140, 190 mm - matched to EMGA gearboxes and CMMP/CMMT controllers
Holding brake (-B suffix) - spring-applied brake, fail-safe in de-energised state
Resolver feedback - multiturn absolute (-AM/-AR/-AS/-ASB) or single-turn (-RM/-RS)
Protection class IP65 - suitable for industrial environments with splash water
190 mm flange EMMS-AS-190 - high-dynamic version with safety option (-S1) available

Typical applications: Electrical linear axes and ball screw drives in assembly and handling machines, rotary tables and swivel axes in machining centres, dosing units in process technology, and multi-axis positioning with CMMP-AS controller and PROFINET/EtherCAT connectivity.
