Locating set up to 3 m depth with GPS, data logging and transmitter - Leica DD175 Depth GPS Package 50 Hz

A locator on its own only finds services that radiate a field of their own. Depth readings, de-energised cables and gas or water pipes call for a signal transmitter. This package therefore pairs the DD175 locator for 50 Hz mains frequency with the DA175 1 watt transmitter, reaching a locating depth of 0.3 to 3 m at a depth accuracy of 10 percent.

Benefits

• Four frequencies on both sides, because in direct connection mode the DA175 covers exactly the four transmitter frequencies of the DD175, meaning 33 kHz, 8 kHz, 640 Hz and 512 Hz.
• Depth reading 0.3 to 3 m on a line and 0.3 to 9.99 m on a sonde, available only when locator and transmitter or sonde work together.
• GPS and internal memory set this package apart from the DD120 and DD130 packages. Every measurement is logged with its position and passes to the DX Software Suite over Bluetooth.
• Signal current measurement shows whether the energised line is really being traced and not a neighbouring one the signal has coupled onto.
• Automatic pinpointing and the Good-to-Go self test remove the manual sensitivity setting. Hazard zone and shallow service warn about lines close to the surface.
• 15 h operating time on the locator and 30 h on the transmitter, alkaline batteries for both units and the manuals are included.

Applications

Utility search ahead of groundwork in civil and road construction, exposing house connections, route checks for power, gas, water and telecom network operators, tracing de-energised cables and non-metallic pipes through the transmitter, and recording located routes with position and depth reference for asset documentation.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The package is matched in itself. The DD175 locator works with the DA175 and DD2xx transmitter range, and the DA175 in turn works with the DD120, DD130 and DD175 locators. For tracing sewers, ducts and empty conduits the package can be extended with the Leica sonde range. Data from the internal memory passes to the DX Software Suite over Bluetooth.
