Cable and utility locator 0.3 to 3 m with auto, power and radio mode - Leica DD120 50 Hz

Before any excavation starts, the position of power, data and utility lines has to be known. The DD120 locates them at depths from 0.3 to 3 m and reports the depth with an accuracy of 10 percent on an undistorted signal. This 50 Hz mains variant picks up live cables in power mode, so without a signal transmitter connected.

Applications

Utility surveys ahead of groundworks and cable jobs, checking cable routes in road and utility construction, releasing excavation areas and core drillings, tracing house connections, and following non-metallic pipes and ducts with a sonde down to 3 m. The 50 Hz power mode suits mains networks in the European supply area.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The locator works passively in power and radio mode and actively together with a signal transmitter. The matching unit is the 1 watt DA175 transmitter, which delivers 32.768 (33) kHz and 8.192 (8) kHz in induction mode and therefore serves exactly the receive frequencies of the DD120. Sondes can be added for depth estimation and for tracing plastic pipes. The locator is supplied with alkaline batteries and user manuals.
