Short-stroke cylinder ND/NE
Double-acting short-stroke cylinders with piston rod NDM combine the compact flat profile of the ND series with a guided, anti-rotation piston rod. The integrated anti-rotation prevents attached tools, grippers or workpiece carriers from shifting their angular position under lateral force or torsion. The NDM series is available in bore diameters from 20 to 100 mm with strokes from 5 to 80 mm, as confirmed by articles NDM 20/5 A through NDM 100/80 A.

Typical applications: NDM cylinders are primarily used where attached components must maintain a constant angular position: gripper fingers in handling systems, test heads in automated inspection stations, marking punches and embossing mandrels in production equipment, and tool holders in assembly automation where tilting under lateral force is not acceptable.
