Pipe laser package green 200 m laser class 2M without remote control - Leica Piper 100G 2M

The Leica Piper 100G pipe laser transfers grade and line inside the pipe, in the trench and in the manhole. It covers a working range of less than 200 m, self-levels across -15 % to +30 % and holds a self-levelling accuracy of ± 1.5 mm at 30 m. This package supplies the 2M laser class version with a green beam together with charger, power supply unit, li-ion battery, target assembly and user manual. An IR remote control is not part of it, Leica offers the same package in a version that includes the IR remote control.

Key benefits

• Green 520 nm beam, four times more visible than a red one according to the manufacturer. That gives a longer measuring distance from the instrument station and better levelling accuracy, even in bright surroundings. Water and waste water work is the typical field of use.
• Laser class 2M with a maximum average radiant power of 1.2 mW. The 3R versions of the Piper series call for additional safety measures in some countries, the 2M version lets crews work without that extra effort and keeps the full working range of less than 200 m.
• Housing diameter of 96 mm, so the laser fits into a pipe from 100 mm upwards.
• Automatic grade compensation, because if the housing rolls by up to ± 3° the Piper detects the resulting grade error and corrects it by itself.
• GEB221 li-ion battery with up to 40 hours of operation and a charging time of 4 hours. The GKL311 charger and the GEV192 power supply unit are included.
• Cast aluminium housing with IPx8 protection, working temperature from -20 °C to +50 °C.

Applications

Sewer and pipeline construction, waste water lines and house connections. The laser works inside the pipe, over the top and in the manhole, the required fall is set through the grade range of -10 % to +25 %. In water and waste water work the green beam pays off, because the target stays easy to read over long distances and in bright surroundings.

An IR remote control is not part of this configuration. Anyone who wants to move the line from a distance takes the same package in the version with IR remote control or adds the IR remote control for Leica Piper as an accessory. The supplied target assembly covers inserts from 150 mm to 300 mm, for small pipes the PTC100 target plate with 100 mm fits as well. The GEB221 battery and the GKL311 charger are standard parts of the Leica accessory range and can be shared with other instruments.

Standards and notes

The instrument is classified as a class 2M laser product to IEC 60825-1:2014. The protection class is IPx8, which states water tightness, the manufacturer gives no dust digit. The package contains a lithium-ion battery, so the shipment is labelled accordingly and sent under the rules for lithium-ion batteries.
