Choosing the right TICKOPUR cleaner
Select by contamination and chemistry
The decisive factors are the contamination and the material:
- Sensitive parts: neutral cleaner R 30 for glass, ceramics, light metal and plastics.
- General contamination: R 33 (pH 9.9 at 1 %, with corrosion protection) or the demulsifying TR 7 (pH 8.9 at 1 %).
- Carbon and resin deposits: alkaline intensive cleaner TR 13 (pH 11.9 at 1 %).
- Scale, rust, oxides: R 27 (pH 1.9 at 1 %) or the ready-to-use J 80 U.
Electronics and analytics
TR 14 is intended for PCBs and solder stencils, RW 77 for service PCBs and plastic parts. In the laboratory, the surfactant-free R 36 avoids residues on cuvettes.
Dosage and pack size
Depending on the product and application, the concentrates are used at 0.1 to 20 %, only J 80 U is ready to use. Pack sizes range from 1 and 2 litres through 5 and 10 litres up to the 200-litre drum for R 33. Check bath volume and change interval before choosing the pack size.
Demulsifying or emulsifying
Demulsifying cleaners such as TR 7, TR 13 and R 36 let oil float to the surface, where it can be skimmed off so the bath lasts longer.

Frequently asked questions about TICKOPUR
Who makes TICKOPUR?
TICKOPUR is made by Dr. H. Stamm GmbH, a chemical manufacturer in Berlin, Germany, that develops special preparations for ultrasonic cleaning and disinfection.
Which TICKOPUR cleaner is suitable for everyday parts cleaning?
R 33 is intended for general contamination such as oil, grease, soot and grinding or polishing residues. It is mildly alkaline with pH 9.9 at 1 %, contains corrosion protection and is dosed at 3 to 5 %.
How do I remove flux from PCBs?
TR 14 saponifies rosin flux into water-soluble rosin soaps and also removes solder pastes. At 10 % dosage and 60 to 70 °C, a board is clean in 30 to 180 seconds without organic solvents.
Which cleaner leaves no surfactant residues?
R 36 is surfactant-free and suitable for cuvettes, lab glass and measuring parts. It is highly concentrated and works from a dosage of 0.25 %.
Can TICKOPUR cleaners be used without ultrasound?
Many concentrates such as R 30, R 32, R 33 and R 36 are also suitable for immersion, wipe and high-pressure cleaning. R 27 can be used without ultrasound at 10 to 20 % dosage with a longer exposure time.
