Ready-to-install drive unit for VarioFlow 5 roller conveyor systems. The AS 5/XH-FR drives ST 5 conveyor units, CU 5 curves, DI 5 diverters, JU 5 junctions and HQ 5 lift transverse units. Reversible and accumulation operation are standard; the gear motor mounts on either side and the drive position is freely selectable.

The AS 5/XH-FR drive unit is the central drive component for modular VarioFlow 5 roller conveyor systems. It is rated for clean rooms to ISO class 7 and dry rooms below 1 % RH, and ships ready to install with the gear motor enclosed separately for left- or right-hand fitting.
- Reversible operation and accumulation operation supported without modification
- Gear motor mountable on either side of the transmission drive (MA = R or MA = L)
- Motor connection selectable as cable/plug (AT = S) or terminal box (AT = K)
- Freely selectable motor position and conveyor length; roller pitch p = 130, 195, 260 or 325 mm
- Viewing window for toothed-belt inspection without removing the cover
- Space-saving cover design allows adjacent machines to be positioned as close as 20 mm
- Optional frequency converter
- Note: when transporting workpieces without pallets, use plastic lateral guides to avoid damage
