Choosing the right Coventry product
Choose by cleaning task
What matters is what needs to be removed and how accessible the spot is:
- Flux, grease, particles on components: ESD swabs such as 36861CLR (polyester head, 165 mm) or 41050ESD (foam head, 3.5 mm).
- Surfaces, stencils, tools: SIP100K IPA wipes, 150 x 200 mm.
- Dry dust in fans and slots: 152a Blast or Typhoon Blast air dusters.
Choosing the swab head
The knitted polyester head of the 36861CLR suits larger areas and solvent pick-up, the narrow foam head of the 41050ESD reaches tight gaps. Both handles have a surface resistance of 1.0 x 10¹⁰ Ohm/sq.
Choosing the air duster
Typhoon Blast uses a non-flammable HFO propellant (GWP 6) and also sprays upside down. 152a Blast delivers a powerful jet of about 4.3 bar at 21 °C from a 400 ml can.

Frequently asked questions about Coventry
What does Coventry make?
Coventry is a brand of ITW Chemtronics from Kennesaw, Georgia (USA), and stands for cleanroom swabs, wipes and high purity solvents for precision cleaning in controlled environments.
Are Coventry swabs ESD-safe?
Yes. The handles of the 36861CLR and 41050ESD swabs are made of dissipative copolymer with a surface resistance of 1.0 x 10¹⁰ Ohm/sq and drain 99% of a 5 kV charge in 0.5 s. The dissipative property is built into the material and does not depend on humidity.
Which cleanroom class are the swabs suitable for?
Both ESD swabs are specified for ISO Class 4 cleanrooms. The polyester and foam heads release no loose fibres or particles.
What are the SIP100 wipes saturated with?
The wipes are saturated with 70% electronics-grade isopropyl alcohol and 30% deionized water. SIP100K is the dispenser tub with 100 wipes, SIP100TR the matching refill.
What is the difference between 152a Blast and Typhoon Blast?
152a Blast uses HFC-152a and comes in a 400 ml can. Typhoon Blast uses a non-flammable HFO propellant with a global warming potential of 6 and can also be used upside down.
