Foam cups and plastic bottles on the bench build up charge and have no place in an EPA. The 35890 thermal cup replaces them with an ESD safe option: the stainless steel shell is grounded as soon as a grounded operator picks it up or sets it on a grounded ESD worksurface. A charge of ± 1,000 V decays to ± 100 V in less than 1 second.
