Lead-Free Desoldering Braid, 3.2 mm x 1.5 m, Antistatic Bobbin, Pack of 25 - Desco LF-E-5AS

Lead-free solder needs more heat to remove than tin-lead. This Desco braid carries a flux formulated for the higher activation temperatures of lead-free processes and wicks solder quickly from pads and leads. At 3.2 mm wide and 1.5 m (5 ft) long, this version suits larger lands and through-hole joints.

Applications

Desoldering and pad clean-up during rework and repair of printed circuit boards, computers, mobile phones and other electronic assemblies, in lines that use RMA no-clean fluxes. The dissipative bobbins can stay at the workstation inside the EPA.

Standards

Flux to ANSI/J-STD-004 and IPC J-STD-004B type L0, surface insulation resistance per Bellcore GR-78-CORE (TR-TSY-000078) and IPC Test Method III. Every bobbin is stamped with a lot code and a certificate of compliance is available from the manufacturer. Desco warrants the braid for two years from manufacture when stored in its original container.
