Glamox C80-S1710 surface-mounted luminaire (AL G2 HO OP)

The Glamox C80-S1710 is a surface-mounted luminaire from the C80 series in the long 1710 size. It is fixed straight onto the ceiling and therefore needs no ceiling cavity. The AL G2 HO OP version is the tunable white member of the range: the light colour is not fixed at the time of purchase but adjusted during operation. Compared with the shorter models of the same series, it covers a longer stretch of ceiling in one piece.

• Surface mounting, fastened directly onto the substrate
• Tunable white light colour, adjustable between warm white and neutral white while in use
• Tunable white control, with the light colour set through the lighting control system

The variants differ on two counts: light colour, offered as 3000 K, 4000 K or tunable white, and control, offered as DALI-dimmable or switchable (HF). Fixed light colours are the simpler choice; tunable white pays off where the lighting mood should change over the day, and it presupposes a control system able to provide that input.

Suited to offices, meeting rooms and corridors with solid ceilings where the light colour should remain adjustable. Where one fixed setting is enough for good, the fixed light colour versions are the easier answer.
