The socket is the female half of the High Flow Cupla. It accepts a plug of the same size, holds it in place and releases it again for disconnection. It normally sits on the fixed end of the line, for example on the supply line. Model HFL-2S, stainless steel, Seal material EPDM.
Lines that are parted and remade during operation cost time when they are screwed together. The Nitto Kohki High Flow Cupla joins hose and pipe lines by hand and is available in the HFL-2, HFL-3 and HFL-4 sizes.
Connected and disconnected by hand, with no tools and without undoing a threaded joint
Coupling body in brass or in stainless steel, matched to the surroundings and to the medium
Seals in FKM or EPDM, so the material pairing suits the medium being carried
HFL-2, HFL-3 and HFL-4 sizes cover different line cross sections within one series
Socket and plug are available separately, so a damaged part can be replaced without renewing the whole connection
Pick HI FLOW CUPLA when the cooling or temperature control line has to be closed on both sides, since every peer series in this group except COMPACT ZEROSPILL CUPLA is one-way shut-off. Against COMPACT ZEROSPILL CUPLA, which is also rated 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2} and two-way shut-off, HI FLOW CUPLA is the high flow rate version with a coupled length 22% shorter than SP CUPLA type A. Where the line runs at 1.5 MPa {15 kgf/cm2}, HI CUPLA BL, LOCK CUPLA 200 or the other one-way shut-off series carry the higher pressure.
