Description
The OB4000 sealing plug fits into the cartridge seat of the B-IRON tools B.100 and B.500. It prevents flux fumes and particles from entering the tool. Without the plug, cartridge contact can be impaired and in the worst case the tool becomes unusable.
When the plug matters most
- Intensive soldering with a lot of flux and high cycle rates
- FOD-sensitive environments where no foreign particles may enter the tools
- Work close to vertical, where fumes rise straight into the handle
Check the plug regularly and replace it as soon as wear or cracks appear: pull out the old plug and insert the new one chamfered side first until the edge sits in the groove.
