Analytical and fine balances can only be checked reliably with a test weight specified more finely than the balance itself. The KERN 318-05 delivers 20 mg as a sheet weight in OIML class E2 with a maximum permissible error of 0,01 mg.

Applications
The test weight is used to check, adjust and verify the sensitivity of analytical, precision and fine balances in laboratories and quality assurance. It is the right choice when the permissible tolerance of the weight is smaller than the readability of the balance under test.
Compliance and origin
