Pneumatic control equipment rarely leaves room for full size couplings around cylinders and valves. Micro Cupla keeps the sleeve outer diameter down to 9.5 mm, works at 1.0 MPa and is connected by pushing the plug in by hand.
- Sleeve outer diameter of 9.5 mm even though the shut-off valve sits inside the socket, so the coupling still fits tight tubing runs.
- Working pressure of 1.0 MPa (10 kgf/cm2) for air and water, with the Tube Fitter version not suitable for water.
- Rated for vacuum service down to 53.0 kPa (400 mmHg), tested with air at room temperature.
- One-way shut-off with the valve in the socket, and when coupled air flows in either direction from the plug or the socket side.
- Bodies in plated brass or SUS 304 stainless steel for good corrosion resistance, with the Tube Fitter in chrome-plated brass.

Pick MICRO CUPLA for piping in pneumatic control devices where space is tight: the sleeve outer diameter stays at 9.5 mm although the shut-off valve is built into the socket, which the other 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2} series SMALL CUPLA, COMPACT CUPLA, CUBE CUPLA and SUPER CUPLA do not offer. It is one-way shut-off and rated 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2}, so it serves control air rather than the 1.5 MPa {15 kgf/cm2} lines covered by HI CUPLA, HI CUPLA 200, FULL BLOW CUPLA, LINE CUPLA 200 and HI CUPLA ACE. Where both sides have to shut off, choose the two-way shut-off COMPACT CUPLA instead.

Compatibility
Sockets and plugs of the Micro Cupla range connect regardless of the end configuration, only the series has to match. Fluid escapes from the plug side on disconnection, so take the necessary precautions when the medium is water.
Standards and compliance
Thread ends are M5 x 0.8 with a maximum tightening torque of 1.3 Nm and 1/8 inch with 7 Nm, and the materials used are SUS 304 stainless steel, plated brass, nitrile rubber (NBR) and fluoro rubber (FKM).
Safety and application notes
- Note: Fluid will flow out from the plug side when disconnected. Take necessary precaution if the fluid is water.
- Always fix tubes with hose clamps when using hose barb types.
