The plug is the insert half of the connection and enters the socket of the same size. It is normally fitted to the side that moves, gets swapped or travels with the job, such as a hose, a tool or a test piece. Plugs in this series are available in brass, steel and stainless steel with NBR or FKM seals. Model MAS-4P, stainless steel, Seal material FKM.
On machines and test rigs, lines are disconnected and reconnected several times a day. The Multi Cupla series from Nitto Kohki covers that job with 120 versions in brass, steel or stainless steel, each available as a socket and as the matching plug.
Bodies in brass, steel or stainless steel (SUS), so the coupling suits the environment at the installation point.
Seals in NBR or FKM, which lets the material pairing be matched to the medium being carried.
Every socket has a plug of the same size, for example MALC-4S and MALC-4P, which keeps spare part stocking simple.
Sizes 01, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 within the same model line, so different port sizes stay inside one coupling system.
120 articles in a single series, from the individual coupling to the MAM, MALC, MALS, MALT, MAS and MAT versions.

Two-way shut-off for MAS type and MAT type; One-way shut-off for MALC-01 type
Air, Water, Hydraulic oil
Choose MAS Type or MAT Type when the multi-port plate has to work at 7.0 MPa {71 kgf/cm2} with two-way shut-off: MULTI CUPLA MAM Type is limited to 0.7 MPa {7 kgf/cm2} and shuts off on one side only, and MAM-A Type and MAM-B Type are two-way shut-off but only up to 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2}. Above this pressure range, MULTI CUPLA MALC Type is the choice, since its MALC-HSP Type covers 21.0 to 25.0 MPa {214 to 255 kgf/cm2}. Within the series, take the MAS type when axial eccentricity within a radius of 0.3 mm has to be absorbed, and the MAT type when the coupling is screwed into the base plate with a metric thread.

Applications
Tool and fixture changes where lines are disconnected on a regular basis
Test and measuring benches with changing setups
Plant modules that are uncoupled quickly for service and rebuilds
Installation points in corrosive surroundings, which is what the stainless steel (SUS) versions are intended for
Safety and application notes
CUPLA connection or disconnection with fluid under dynamic pressure cannot be made.
Maintain the connection with the minimum load or more, but not more than the maximum acceptable load.
Before use, please be sure to read "Safety Guide" described at the end of this book and "Instruction Sheet" that comes with the products.
