On machine tools and woodworking machines, light has to reach exactly the point where parts are clamped, drilled or milled. The pivoting-head luminaire is screwed directly to the machine or fixture via its flange, and the joint head can be aimed precisely at the machining point. The narrow 10° spot concentrates approx. 600 lm on a small area such as a cutting edge, a bore or an inspection feature. It connects directly to the machine voltage, 12-28 V AC or 12-40 V DC, via an approx. 3.7 m lead with free stranded wires.
