Plated through holes only clear completely when the inside diameter and the heat supply match the lead. The Metcal STDC-802 is an STDC series desoldering cartridge with 0.64 mm inside diameter, 1.4 mm outside diameter, 11.43 mm tip length and a 485 °C working temperature.
