Connectors, shielding frames and parts tied into large copper areas often release only slowly under a single iron. The Metcal MX-HPDC is a dual soldering iron for the MX-5200 soldering and desoldering station that carries two cartridges at once and heats the component from two sides.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The MX-HPDC works with the Metcal MX-5200 soldering and desoldering station. Tips are the dual cartridges SMTC-xCH75D, SMTC-xCH100D, SMTC-xCH150D, SMTC-xDRH75D and SMTC-xCHB100D, the stand is the MX-WHPDC. The hand piece is supplied on its own, tips and stand are ordered separately.
