Fire blanket Fire Protect 100 x 100 cm, glass fibre, for grease fires, white, in nylon bag - Franz Mensch 52810

Burning fat must never be extinguished with water. The only effective approach is to cut the flames off from the air. That is what this Hygostar Fire Protect fire blanket does: at 100 x 100 cm it fully covers a burning pan or a small kitchen appliance and smothers the fire.

The fabric is made of glass fibre. Kept in its nylon bag, the blanket stays clean and can be pulled out in one move in an emergency.

Benefits in use

• Glass fibre fabric: non-combustible material that smothers the flames when laid over them
• 100 x 100 cm format: large enough for pans, pots and small kitchen appliances
• Nylon bag: keeps dust and grease off the blanket until it is needed
• EN 1869: conforms when stored in the Fire Protect steel container, available separately
• Single use: replace the blanket after it has been used on a fire

Applications

Tea kitchens, break rooms, canteens, small staff kitchens, snack counters and anywhere hot fat is used.

Notes on EN 1869

A fire blanket to EN 1869 is rectangular or square, has two grip pockets and is single use. It must be stored in a rigid container labelled with the word fire blanket.
