Hexagon socket for hexagonal screws 24 mm, insulated 1000 V, 1/2 inch square drive, 61 mm - Knipex 98 47 24

On live equipment no bare metal may sit between the bolt head and the hand. This Knipex socket loosens and tightens metric hexagon head screws with an across flats size of 24 mm and is tested to DIN EN 60900 and IEC 60900 for work up to 1000 V. At 61 mm long and 151 g it stays controllable even in overhead positions.

Applications

Electrical installation, switchgear and distribution board assembly, and maintenance work where hexagon bolts have to be released under voltage or tightened to a defined torque. Combined with the other across flats sizes of the series it covers the usual terminal and busbar connections.

Standards and conformity

The tool is built and tested to DIN EN 60900, IEC 60900, the standards for hand tools used on live installations. The manufacturer data lists it as REACH compliant without SVHC, while the RoHS directive does not apply to this hand tool.
