Achromat objective 0.8x with 114 mm working distance and M60 thread - Leica 10450161

On a stereo microscope the objective factor decides between overview and detail. The Leica 0.8x achromat objective gives more magnification than the 0.63x and, with 114 mm of working distance, still leaves enough room to work under the optics.

Calculating magnification correctly

Total magnification on a stereo microscope comes from the objective factor, the zoom setting and the eyepiece magnification. The 0.8x factor is only one of these three values. Which total magnification and which field of view result depends on the microscope body and the eyepiece in use.

Rework on printed circuit boards and fine solder joints, visual inspection of connectors and contacts, assembly of small units, laboratory and training.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The objective is supplied on its own, without protective glass and without a storage box. It fits microscope bodies of the Leica M series Routine with an M60 objective thread, which includes M50, M60 and M80. Where a wider object field is needed, the 0.63x with 148 mm working distance is the alternative.
