Removing a component with two lead rows costs time as soon as both sides do not go liquid at the same moment. The RTWUS 100 K tip pair delivers 150 W from two 75 W heating zones straight to the joint on the WXUTS Ultra desoldering tweezers, with a heat up time of 5 seconds.

Benefits in use

• The knife blade with 10 mm blade width and 1.2 mm thickness covers a full lead row in one go instead of reheating pin by pin.
• 2 x 75 W heating power at 24 V, 150 W in total. The control range covers 100 to 450 °C.
• Paired and pre-aligned tip set. Alignment after a tip change is not needed, so the tweezers return to the process at once.
• Active Tip Cartridge System. Tips can be changed on hot tweezers without an extra tool and without readjustment.
• Smart Tweezers identification with tip ID and integrated data storage. Tip offset and tip lock keep the soldering process traceable and protected against unwanted changes.
• Fine adjustment when required with a 1.5 mm Allen key, ±80° rotation angle and ±1.2 mm length adjustment.

Desoldering SO, QFP and similar packages with long lead rows in electronics rework, repair and small batch production. The short distance between tip and grip and the parallel sliding block guide of the WXUTS keep the component steady even on densely populated boards.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

Suitable only for the WXUTS desoldering iron of the Weller Ultra range. Delivery is the sales unit of 1 piece as stated by the manufacturer. Handpiece, supply unit and safety rest are not included.

Standards and compliance

Mil-Spec compliant and tested to the IPC industry standard IPC-TM-650 2.5.33 for the measurement of electrical overstress from soldering hand tools. The tip type carries the MS marking. The datasheet does not state ESD conformity for the tip itself.
