In series production the tip that matters is not the fastest one but the one still in shape after ten thousand joints. The C250428E answers with a reinforced iron layer and a bent conical shape of 1 mm diameter at 9.5 mm tip length.

Applications

Series soldering with wire feed on connectors, cables and boards where the same joint recurs in high volume. The reinforced version is meant for continuous duty, for occasional fast repairs a standard tip is the quicker choice.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The cartridge is intended for the ALE250 and AP250 handles, according to the manufacturer description in particular for the AP250 with manual feed. The manufacturer states plainly that the thicker iron layer lowers thermal efficiency. One tip is supplied in packaging measuring 127 x 31 x 31 mm.
