Mains soldering iron W 201 Magnastat 200 W, from 370 °C, UK plug - Weller T0056105399N

Where a joint absorbs more heat than an 80 W iron can replace, the result is cold joints. The W 201 converts 200 W directly from the mains and holds the working temperature from 370 °C without control electronics, because the Magnastat tip switches the heater through a temperature dependent magnetic switch.

What it delivers in use

• 200 W of heating power cover joints with high thermal demand such as large ground planes, heavy gauge stranded wire and connector shells.
• Mains operation without a station, so the iron is ready to work in service and assembly and needs no supply unit.
• The tip defines the temperature, from 370 °C or 698 °F. Setting the wrong value on a dial is not possible.
• Five tip series are released, CT2, CT6, HM, LT and PT, so the same iron covers fine work through to heavy joints.
• ESD safe design, the iron may be used inside an EPA.
• Version with British mains plug for benches on the UK supply.

Assembly and repair of wiring looms, soldering on ground planes and sheet metal, model making and electrical installation, field repair without access to a soldering station.

Compatibility

The iron accepts soldering tips of the CT2, CT6, HM, LT and PT series. The magnetic switch for the W 200 and W 201 Magnastat irons is listed as a spare part.
