On threaded rod connections, the rod often protrudes well beyond the nut. The 395 HO nutdriver therefore has a hollow shaft: the threaded rod passes through the nut into the hollow shaft of the screwdriver. This lets you run down nuts with a 13 mm drive size quickly, even on long threaded rods.
