When driving screws with a power tool, bits often break under peak loads and changing them takes time. The Wera 897/4 R tackles both: a torsion spring in the BiTorsion zone absorbs smaller peak loads, while the Rapidaptor technology accepts the bit without actuating the sleeve and releases it by simply pushing the sleeve forward, even with one hand. • Rapid-in and self-lock: push the bit in, the lock activates as soon as the bit is applied to the screw, holding it securely and wobble-free.
• Rapid-out: push the sleeve forward, the spring mechanism lifts the bit off the magnet, even the smallest bits can be removed without extra tools.
• Rapid-spin: the free-turning sleeve steadies the screwdriver, makes it easier to apply to the screw and prevents slipping.
• Chuck-all: holds 1/4" bits as per DIN ISO 1173-C 6.3 and E 6.3 as well as Wera series 1 and 4.

Applications

For cordless and electric screwdrivers in series screwdriving in assembly, timber and metal construction and maintenance. Can also be used as a short extension for 1/4" applications, for example with Wera Zyklop ratchets.
