Moisture-sensitive electronics need two barriers during storage and shipping: one against electrostatic discharge and one against humidity. This shielding and moisture barrier bag in 200 x 255 mm combines both in a multilayer film of polyester, aluminium and polyurethane with a defined water vapour transmission rate. The metal layer keeps discharges away from the contents, with a shielding value below 10 nJ.

Applications

The compact format suits single modules, small PCBs and component packs that should be packed with little air volume. Less residual air in the bag also means less moisture sealed in with the parts.
