SMD reel tray for flat storage of reels up to 380 mm diameter, first in first out - A1-ESD EP0711011

Opened component reels pile up at the setup station of an SMD line, and without a fixed order the operator picks the reel that was put down last. This tray holds reels up to 380 mm in diameter lying flat and releases them on a first in, first out basis, so stock is consumed in the order it arrived rather than by whatever is easiest to reach.

Application

The tray sits at the setup station of the placement machines, where opened reels wait between two changeovers, and in the component store as a defined place for remaining quantities. Inside the ESD protected area it replaces the loose pile on the bench with a fixed sequence, so stocktaking and delivery lot tracing both show which reel goes to the line next. The range also includes a smaller tray for reels up to 330 mm in diameter.
