Anyone fitting out a trolley, a shelf unit or a workbench for the ESD protected area needs casters that do not electrically isolate the structure and that stay put during loading and unloading. This swivel caster has a 75 mm wheel, a wheel centre of electrically conductive polypropylene and a wheel brake. It is fitted through an 11 mm bolt hole, which according to the supplier takes standard screws of any length.

Application

Typical use is on transport and shelf trolleys, material carts, workbenches and chassis inside an EPA, wherever populated assemblies are moved and the whole structure has to stay electrostatically controlled. The brake is needed at handover and test positions where the trolley must not roll away during work. The range is also supplied in further wheel diameters, so swivel and fixed casters on one chassis can be matched to the same overall height.
