Anyone fitting out trolleys, chassis or shelf units for the ESD protected area needs casters that do not electrically isolate the structure and that can be locked reliably at assembly and test positions. This swivel caster has a wheel diameter of 160 mm, an electrically conductive tread of black solid rubber and a trailing total lock. It is fitted with a bolt-on top plate with a mounting dimension of 137 x 105 mm.

Application

Typical use is on transport and material trolleys, chassis, shelf trucks and workbenches inside an EPA, wherever populated assemblies are moved and the whole structure has to stay electrostatically controlled. At 160 mm wheel diameter the caster also runs over floor joints and door sills, and the total lock keeps the trolley in place at handover and test positions. The range is also supplied in further wheel diameters, so swivel and fixed casters on one chassis can be matched to the same overall height.
