Anyone fitting out workbenches, material carts or chassis for the ESD protected area needs casters that do not electrically isolate the structure and that run easily on smooth shop floors. This swivel caster has a wheel diameter of 100 mm, a wheel centre of electrically conductive polyamide and a tread of moulded polyurethane. It is fitted with a bolt-on top plate with a mounting dimension of 77 x 67 mm.

Application

Typical use is on material and shelf trolleys, mobile workbenches, test positions and chassis inside an EPA, wherever populated assemblies are moved and the whole structure has to stay electrostatically controlled. The thread guards pay off in kitting and packing areas, where strapping and tying material lies on the floor. The range is also supplied in further wheel diameters, so swivel and fixed casters on one chassis can be matched to the same overall height.
